Classes: Healthcare Careers: Pharmacy Technician

Prepares you to enter the pharmacy field and to sit for two national certification exams: National Pharmacy Technician Certification exam (PTCE) offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) offered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Includes medical terminology specific to pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Learn dosage calculation, I.V. flows, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispersing of prescriptions, inventory control, billing and reimbursement. Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
