Introduces the fundamentals of the Russian written and spoken language. Develops oral and reading skills in the language and competence in answering basic questions. Through the reading of lifelike dialogues, students gain insight into Russian culture, thought, and expression.

Please read:  This Structured Remote Course is conducted entirely online. The class will have real-time virtual sessions that meet at the scheduled class times a minimum of once per week. Scheduled real-time virtual sessions will be designated on the syllabus. Students are expected to attend real-time virtual sessions, however, the sessions will be recorded and made available for students unable to attend. The student will be unable to enroll in multiple courses with overlapping meeting times. This class is co-listed with RUSS101-SR1, 3810. Please check the FCC Bookstore for required textbooks. Each section will include both credit and noncredit students. The expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for all students. The course will be graded for all students. Students will be required to sign into Blackboard to access instructor information, course orientation, and learning materials.
