Thread painting transforms fabric into art using free-motion sewing techniques. This beginner-friendly class teaches you to "draw" with thread, creating dimensional sketches of botanical subjects. Learn to control your sewing machine like a paintbrush as you blend colors, add texture, and bring images to life. This meditative, creative technique requires no prior free-motion experience. Students will master design transfer methods and proper stabilizer use while completing a finished thread-painted piece suitable for framing or display. Perfect for sewists looking to expand their artistic skills in a relaxed, supportive environment. No sewing experience necessary. This class is a skills-based course. Whether or not you complete an entire project during the class will depend on your level of skill. All supplies provided.
