Soles to Souls: Antietam's Footprints - The Cornfield, Dunker Church & West Woods

Take a new look at the battlefield as we join famed historian, Dennis Frye, for a narrated walk through the battle grounds of Antietam. We’ll provide transportation via the FCC shuttle bus to meet up with your guide. Spend the morning hearing an overview of the battle and walk the Cornfield area of the grounds as Dennis narrates the event. We'll eat lunch at a local restaurant; entree and drink are included in the fee. Then we’ll head back to the battlefield to walk the West Woods/Dunker Church area. We will follow established NPS trails which will give you a feel for the terrain and the ebb and flow of the battles. Bring your walking shoes as we expect to walk a total distance of 2.5 miles over irregular, but not extreme, ground.
