Develops students' competence and confidence in reading and writing and improves oral and grammar skills in Spanish. Designed for Spanish-speaking students who have had informal or formal exposure to the language throughout their lives, and for students who have reached an intermediate to advanced oral proficiency. Explores Hispanic cultural heritage in the United States.

Notice

Please read:  This hybrid course section is a mixture of online and on campus content. There will be regular on campus requirements during the scheduled class times. The class may also have real-time virtual sessions that meet at the scheduled class times. This class is co-listed with Spanish for Heritage and Fluent Speakers, SPAN200-HYB1, 1770. In person class is located at the Conference Center (E Building), Room E140. This course requires Native or near native knowledge of oral Spanish regardless of formal education in Spanish, or program manager permission. Please check the FCC Bookstore for required textbooks. Each section will include both credit and continuing education students. The expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for all students. The course will be graded for all students. Students will be required to sign into Blackboard to access instructor information, course orientation, and learning materials. Registration will close one week prior to the class start date.
