Once you know how to write and submit testimony on bills in the Maryland General Assembly, the next step is staying organized. This session will show you how to track the bills you are following, including those you plan to support or oppose through testimony. You will learn a spreadsheet-based system designed to make your Annapolis advocacy more manageable and effective. This proven approach helps you keep track of bills, hearings, deadlines, and testimony positions; organize your advocacy work in one clear, reliable place; focus your efforts so your activism supports your goals. It's recommended, but not required, that you bring a tablet or internet capable phone with you so you can practice utilizing the resources that will be mentioned during the class.
