The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA/GNA) program delivers fundamental training, from initial introduction to advanced hands-on clinical experience, to prepare you for the Certified and Geriatric Nursing Assistant exams. Approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing, instruction focuses on developing basic patient care skills, measuring vital signs, recording medical information, and gaining clinical experience, while addressing the CNA/GNA role, disease processes, infection control, and safety.

The program meets requirements for CNA certification in the state of Maryland and serves as preparation for the Geriatric Nursing Assistant exam. Once you pass the CNA exam, your credential is eligible for academic credit conversion, giving you a head start if you choose to continue your healthcare education.
