Glimpses of the Past: All About the East Street

This easy walking tour includes East Street and its history from Shab Row extending north. We’ll duck in and out of side streets along the walk while we learn the history of former factories such as the Oxe Fiber factory. We will also look at the architecture of the area and discover how the buildings have changed over time. This tour involves walking in downtown Frederick on mostly flat sidewalks and walkways with minor elevation changes for about 1.5 miles moving at a slow pace. Rain Date - 5/17
