Faced with increasing cybersecurity challenges, businesses and organizations are in need of professionals with a solid understanding of security protocols, policies, and defense mechanisms. This course is designed for those aiming to pursue a career in cybersecurity or further enhance their current security knowledge, and it will prepare individuals to take the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. Topics include attacks, threats, and vulnerabilities; secure design of network infrastructures, systems, and applications; configuring security solutions; detecting and responding to security incidents; and encryption methods and key management systems. Students will gain the skills needed to identify, evaluate, and respond to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in real-world IT environments.
