In today’s increasingly digital world, businesses and organizations face growing cyber threats, and having certified ethical hackers on staff helps protect critical data, maintain privacy, and ensure compliance with security standards, ultimately reducing the risk of cyberattacks and enhancing overall cybersecurity resilience. This course is designed for network administrators, security analysts, and system administrators, along with individuals who have IT experience in networking and IT security. It will also prepare students to take the Certified Ethical Hacker exam. Topics include ethical hacking and legal issues; reconnaissance, scanning, and enumeration; system hacking and exploitation; malware, sniffing, and social engineering; web and wireless network security; and cloud, cryptography, and penetration testing. Students will develop a deep understanding of how to approach ethical hacking from a legal and technical perspective as well as garner practical experience using industry-standard tools to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
