EARN Maryland Grant at FCC
Training, Credentials, and Job Assistance — at No Cost to You!

Students in a manufacturing and logistics workforce training program at Frederick Community College, supported by the EARN Maryland grant Eligible Frederick County residents can now access fully funded workforce training in manufacturing and logistics. Made possible through Frederick Community College's selection for the EARN (Employment Advancement Right Now) Maryland grant program, administered by the Maryland Department of Labor.

EARN Maryland is a state-funded, industry-led program that connects job seekers with real training for real jobs. It brings together employers, colleges, and community partners so that the skills you learn lead directly to employment and career growth right here in Frederick County.

The program is a coordinated partnership with FCC, Frederick County Workforce Services (FCWS), and the Frederick County Local Management Board (LMB). Grant funding can support up to 60 participants with training, credentials, and support services for success in securing employment. Training leads to careers with an average starting wage of $22/hour, in local high growth industries including Biotechnology, Manufacturing, and Transportation & Logistics.

Program Details
  • This is a no-cost program — participants pay nothing to enroll.
  • Classes meet in the evenings, two to three times per week for six months, in person at FCC.
  • No prior experience is required.
  • Free supportive services are available for qualified participants, including childcare, transportation, laptops, driving permits, and Adult Education/ESL classes.
  • After completing a required OSHA-10 certification preparatory course, students continue in their chosen track below during these available program dates.

Online Information Sessions
Learn more about the program during an upcoming information session. Available 100% online, sessions are offered from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. Complete the interest form to receive the event link. Session topics include:
