Learn to edit your digital photos using the powerful Lightroom Classic from Adobe Creative Suite including how to organize and manage your photos by creating a master photo file, importing your organized photos into the Lightroom Library module and creating Smart Collections in Lightroom so you can quickly locate topics and favorites. Then learn how to make basic edits, such as cropping and adjusting the exposure, and more advanced edits including fixing camera distortions, and more. Finally, you will use the tools in Lightroom to export your edited photos for various purposes, including printing and posting on social media. There will be time during class to edit photos. Please bring your own laptop (Windows OS or Apple MacOS) so you can customize the software and save changes to your own workspace. Prior to the first class, you will have to license a copy of Adobe Lightroom Classic (NOT the Adobe Lightroom version - you need the Classic version) from Adobe Creative Suite and download and install it on your own computer. Check for student discounts. It is also highly recommended that you bring an external drive, 1tb or larger, on which to save their work and build their photo file.
