Note for FCPS High School Students
Frederick County Public School students receive free tuition through Dual Enrollment at FCC for all courses. Fee and book scholarships may be available for select programs. Students should speak with their high school counselor first if they plan to enroll in an FCC workforce development course or program.
Biotech Boot Camp
No Cost | No experience required
This hands-on training program, designed specifically for career-minded individuals including current biotech industry employees, provides a comprehensive industry overview with in-depth discussions on regulations, safety, teamwork, and communication, while also delivering in-demand skills, knowledge, and experience often required to secure entry-level employment in the industry. Participation offers an opportunity to earn four Bioscience Core Skills Institute (BCSI) credentials including:
• BCSI Safety-Hazard Assessment
• BCSI Small Volume Metrology
• BCSI Documentation & Standard Operating Procedure
• BCSI Aseptic Technique-Lab Bench
