Discover the joys of gardening and the great outdoors with our “Nature’s Nurture” class. This outdoor, immersive and hands-on course offers a delightful opportunity to connect with nature, learn about plants and local birds, and how to identify them on sight. Find the therapeutic benefits of gardening in a supportive and inclusive environment, while discussing the complex relationships between plants and the environment. This unique non-credit course was developed for adults with developmental disabilities to support their ability to function more independently at home, at work, and in the community.
