This course is open to all musicians with a love of percussion. In addition to performing standard percussion repertoire and transcriptions of rock, jazz, and popular music, the course explores percussion music from around the world. Students will learn about types and styles of percussion arrangements and techniques required to play a variety of percussion instruments. Ability to read music required. Previous ensemble experience on drums, keyboard, or auxiliary percussion recommended, but not required. Please read:  This course will meet on campus in an in-person environment. This class is co-listed with MUSC126-3C, 4128. This class is located at the Visual & Performing Arts Center, Room F146. Please check the FCC Bookstore for required textbooks. Each section will include both credit and noncredit students. The expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for all students. The course will be graded for all students.
