Never stop learning, especially when it comes to protecting your hard-earned money. After reviewing investing basics such as risk and return, you’ll learn about the latest changes from SECURE Act 2.0, and how diversification can reduce the risk of investing. This workshop will also discuss how to monitor investment accounts, how to research investments and investment professionals, and how to add a “trusted contact” to a brokerage account. Attendees will also learn how to spot the red flags of scams, especially the rising trend of relationship investment scams that begin with seemingly accidental texts or social media contacts and can lead to devastating losses and repeat victimization.
