Few places have as many square feet of history as Harpers Ferry. Crammed between two rivers and sheltered within three mountains, Harpers Ferry represents layers of America's stories, from John Brown through the Civil War to the inception of Civil Rights. Join Dennis Frye, renowned Civil War historian and author, as we walk in the footsteps of people who transformed America while also engaging in the bountiful beauty of Harpers Ferry in the fall. Areas explored include Camp Hill, Bolivar Heights Battlefield, School House Ridge Battlefield, and Chambers/Murphy Farm Battlefield. This bus tour involves walking on moderate terrain for up to 3.5 miles spread over the course of the day. Lunch will be on your own in Harper's Ferry.
