In this offering you will be introduced to the basics of genealogy and family history research. We’ll explore tools, strategies, and tips on how to research a family's past. Practical tips for overcoming common challenges for African American family research will be offered. The class will also demonstrate research techniques used in a recent case study.
 
Carol Ann Ambush Wright was born in Frederick County and raised in the Della region of the county; located in the southeastern part of the county. She is a graduate of Frederick High School and still lives in Frederick County. She has researched the Ambush family for over 30 years. She is an active member of African American Resources Cultural and Heritage Society (AARCH) and the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society, Inc. (AAHGS).
