Course number : LIR352    ID : 30107    Section Number : 1

Historians and genealogists put great emphasis on the Germanics who settled and populated Frederick County, and rightfully so, but they were not the only Europeans who impacted the early development of our community. Learn about the English, the French, and other people, including transplants from other parts of the American colonies, who left an imprint on what has become today's Frederick County. While not the focus of the course, we will also cover Native Americans, and African Americans, both free and enslaved, who played a role in creating Western Maryland.
