Course will include components of schematics and blueprints, importance and role of the National Electrical Code, and safety. Students will receive hands-on experience with tools of the trade, wiring, and installing components of accessory terminations.  Also offered for credit as BLDT140.

Please read:  This course will meet in person at the Monroe Center, 200 Monroe Ave., Frederick, MD in room MC129 and require online participation as noted in a syllabus or class schedule that the instructor will provide. Online participation may include real-time virtual participation or non-scheduled asynchronous participation. Prerequisite: ENGL 70 OR appropriate score on placement test- Accuplacer Next Gen minimum score: Reading 237 or (Reading 229 & Writing 237) or ESL Reading 102 or ESL 276 overall. To satisfy the English prerequisite for the program, students need to do one of the following: 1) Take placement test and score above the prerequisite course; 2) Provide proof of completing college level English; or 3) Meet one or more of the listed exemptions.
