Continues the American Sign Language sequence and further develops communication competencies in sign language above the basic level. Introduces transcription symbols, sentence types, time pronominalization, subjects and objects, classifiers, locatives, pluralization, and temporal and distributional aspects. Develops receptive/expressive skills. Features additional information about the Deaf community and Deaf culture.

Please read:  This course will meet on campus in an in-person environment. This class is co-listed with American Sign Language II, ASLS122-1, 1058. This class is located in TBD. Pre-reqs for this course include ASLS121 (formerly ASLS102), FOR419 or permission of the Program Manager. Please check the FCC Bookstore for required textbooks. Each section will include both credit and continuing education students. The expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for all students. The course will be graded for all students. Students will be required to sign into Blackboard to access instructor information, course orientation, and learning materials. Registration will close one week prior to the class start date.
