The High School Flute Choir is open to students in grades 9–12 with at least three years of flute-playing experience. In this ensemble-based course, students will strengthen foundational skills while collaborating on a variety of group pieces, with an emphasis on developing musicianship, technical proficiency, and cohesive ensemble performance. Students will perform with a well-developed tone, strong blend, and refined technical skills while applying effective ensemble techniques in a group setting. Throughout the course, students will explore and perform a variety of musical styles and techniques and develop an appreciation for music through active participation in rehearsals and performances. The group will perform once per semester, and interested students should contact Dr. Jessica Banks (jebanks@frederick.edu).

Please read:  This course will meet on campus in an in-person environment. This class is co-listed with MUSC125-6C, 2174. This class is located at the Visual & Performing Arts Center, Room F132. Please check the FCC Bookstore for required textbooks. Each section will include both credit and continuing education students. The expectations for attendance, participation, and effort are the same for all students. The course will be graded for all students.
