« back to classes page
This class will take you on a survey journey into the world of mixed media art, introducing you to various media including pencil, watercolor, acrylic, ink pens, collage, and pastel. The projects are inspired by a wide range of artists such as Claude Monet, Gustave Klimt, and Paul Klee. These assignments can be used as jumping off points for your own inspiration, using your own photos, book illustrations, or magazine photos to create your own composition. Or you can use the art demonstrations as a guide to help you feel more comfortable with the specific media. This is a class for those who want to study a variety of subjects, such as landscapes, imaginary landscapes, and still life. A supply list will be provided to the students prior to the start of the course. Supplies costs may vary but could average $100/student.
