Painting in the Style of the Master Artists: Focus on Light

You don't have to spend years as an apprentice to learn how to paint your own masterpiece. Trade secrets of the great masters are uncovered in this class. Using acrylic paint, students will create one or two paintings capturing the brush stroke, style, and techniques of master artists. The artists we cover will vary each term. Though this class is considered a beginner course and is project-based, some drawing or painting experience (in any medium) is highly recommended. We suggest taking Drawing for Beginners and Acrylic Painting Techniques for Beginners first. Whether or not you fully complete the project during class will depend on your skill development during class.  This class will capture the techniques of masters of light. Artists may include: Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Cassatt. All supplies are included.
