Basic drawing techniques will be taught, including shading, perspective, use of light and darkness (value), and composition and texture. You will learn about pencil types and paper as well. Students will be required to purchase special pencils and paper prior to the start of the course. Specifics will be provided one week prior to the beginning of the course. This course will show you that drawing is both fun and therapeutic.

Please read:  This Hybrid Remote (HYR) course is primarily online, but with required periodic meetings at the main campus or Monroe Center during scheduled class times. Students must be able to access the course from your own computer/tablet using a link that will be emailed at least one business day prior to the course start. FCC will not be able to provide individual technical support to students during the class sessions. Should you experience difficulties and not be able to access the course, please contact the program office. Only students who have paid the course fee and are officially on the class roster, may join the online class session.
