Juliana Lufkin leads students in this final installment which will encapsulate the student’s understanding of how the culture creates the genre and the genre creates the culture. Students will read “The World Set Free”, which was published on the eve of WWI and predicted atomic weapons more than 25 years before their creation. For slightly lighter fare, students will also read the novella The Time Machine. Materials required - “The World Set Free” by H. G. Wells, and “The Time Machine” by H. G. Wells, any editions.
