This unique non-credit course was developed for adults with developmental disabilities to support their ability to function more independently at home, at work, and in the community. Discover the joy of cooking when you prepare recipes created from scratch in this supportive hands-on environment. Learn cooking basics as you create delicious tacos, pigs-in-a-blanket, healthy sandwiches, and one-pan meals like chicken and vegetables. At the conclusion of each class, students will sit down with classmates to share a meal, laughter, and fun! Recipes will be provided at the final class so students can prepare food at home for families and friends.  Contact us prior to beginning of class with food allergy or sensitivity issues at thrive@frederick.edu.
