Capitol Hill is one of the most storied and visited sites in Washington DC. Our day begins by heading to the Supreme Court where you will be afforded time to walk around the building and possibly enter the first and second floor to view the John Marshall statue, portraits and busts, and self-supporting marble staircases depending on crowd levels. This part of the tour is self-guided. We then will have a docent led tour of the U.S. Capitol Building to see the Crypt, Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. We will also visit the Library of Congress for a guided walking tour of the historic Thomas Jefferson Building, where you’ll marvel at the symbolic art and architecture. Lunch is on your own at the U.S. Capitol Cafeteria. Please note that this tour does not include visiting the Senate and House Galleries and the Supreme Court courtroom. This tour involves moderate walking and standing including a 3 block walk from the bus drop off point to the Supreme Court Building.
