Course number : ACR167   ID : 25494    Section Number : 1
« back to classes page
Working with oil paints can be very flexible. This amazing medium can create a variety of effects from airy glazes to spontaneous brushwork. Oil paintings remain wet for several days, allowing you to make adjustments and corrections at your own pace. And oil paints have been reformulated to mix with water, so you do not need to work with harmful solvents. Clean-up is much easier. This course will focus on exploring fundamental oil painting techniques and ideas within the context of landscapes. This course is a skills-based course meant for beginners and those with some skills. Whether or not you complete an entire project during the class will depend on your level of skill. A supply list will be provided to the students at least one week prior to the start of the course. Supplies costs may vary but could average $100/student.
