This unique non-credit course was developed for adults with developmental disabilities to support their ability to function more independently at home, at work, and in the community. Learn to reduce stress while calming the body and mind in this gentle and Hatha inspired yoga class. The purpose of yoga is to “calm the fluctuations of the mind” by noticing breath and connecting it with movement. Taught by registered yoga teacher Teresa Holler, this class will help you learn to regulate stress in everyday life. Students should wear comfortable clothing they can easily move in and bring a bottle of water. Yoga mats will be provided but students are encouraged to bring their own mat so they can continue yoga at home.
