Enjoy storytelling and connecting with others through the sharing of popular and personal stories. You will share the reading and retelling of stories from literature and pop culture. You will then get the chance to tell your own story with exciting details and the opportunity to get to know others by asking questions. You’ll learn new vocabulary, improve your comprehension and be able to identify main ideas with supporting details in the story line. This class will help you have engaging conversations at home, in the community, and at work. This unique non-credit course was developed for adults with developmental disabilities to support their ability to function more independently at home, at work, and in the community.
