« back to classes page
"Mosby!" No word injected more fear in a Yankee soldier. The Confederate guerrilla chieftain could strike anywhere at any time; and no matter the number of Federals chasing him, he always escaped. Mosby electrified Southern morale and demoralized Union forces operating in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. We'll visit sites of the Gray Ghost's most famous exploits and explore portions of "horse country" in Loudoun and Fauquier counties with the glory of fall colors as our backdrop. This tour involves light walking up to a mile and standing throughout the day. LUNCH IS NOW INCLUDED and will be at the historic and quaint Hunter's Head Tavern.
