This course requires entry level knowledge of dental assisting and dental anatomy, and is intended for those with 0-6 months of dental assisting work experience or successful completion of a dental assisting program. If claiming successful completion of prior learning, a completion certificate or unofficial transcripts will be required. For those actively working in a dental office, an employer verified letter will be required prior to enrollment.
Maryland requires state certified Dental Radiation Technologists be 18+ years old and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Students do not need to be 18 to register or take the course.
Students must register at the same time for SAF157 - CPR: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider or provide a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Card.
Classes will meet in person and require online participation as noted in a syllabus or course schedule that the instructor will provide. Online participation may include real-time virtual participation or non-scheduled asynchronous participation.
