This easy walking tour moves along Carroll Creek with a focus on new development and the history of the textile industry in Frederick. The tour includes learning about the Union Mills Public House and fashion designer Claire McCardell. We will also explore the history of other mills and factories in the area that shaped Frederick's industry and economy. This tour involves walking along Carrol Creek in downtown Frederick on mostly flat walkways with some elevation changes for about 1.5 miles moving at a slow pace.  Rain date - 6/1.

Please read:  This tour will be conducted in downtown Frederick. Listening devices will be provided so participants can hear the guide over the noises of downtown. Students will be required to provide their own transportation to the meeting location. An email will be sent with trip details one week prior to the course date.
