« back to classes page
Take your sewing skills to the next level. In this class you will learn professional tips and short cuts as you practice over 20 practical sewing techniques found in a variety of patterns from garment, home décor, quilting patterns, bag making, and more. You will learn to use several specialty presser feet that make these techniques easier, and the results better. You will create a sampler notebook containing your stitch outs and complete worksheets for future reference. Upon completing this class, you will have the knowledge, skills and confidence to follow a sewing pattern and make something on your own. Techniques covered include seams and finishes, hems, closures, casings and decorative applications. We suggest that you either take Sewing in a Nutshell as a pre-requisite or already have proficiency operating a sewing machine prior to taking this course. All supplies are included.
