Join saxophonist, flutist, drummer, and educator Howard Burns as he guides you through an exciting in-person course focusing on how to approach listening to jazz. He'll walk you through the role of the rhythm section, the approaches songwriters and improvisers use when they write and perform melodies, and he'll show you how the different parts of bands all interact together. Finally, you'll put your listening skills to work in the final day of class, when Howard will be joined by fellow jazz artists to give you an educational performance in action.
