Course number : ILR968   ID : 27213    Section Number : 1
« back to classes page
There's nothing like a mid-autumn stroll. The changing leaves will let us admire the diverse shapes and barks of many tree species. October is also an active season for birds as the last of our summer birds move south and the earliest of the winter birds arrive. Bald Eagles are year-round residents but October is our most likely time to observe them. We'll also keep our eyes out for native mammals like muskrat, beaver, and even the elusive fisher. There's plenty to see on a nature walk. Be prepared for moderate walking up to 1 mile. Dress for the weather. Rain Date - ???
