« back to classes page
In the '50s most Africans were vegan, not by choice but because meat was not affordable. Women made the food so tasty there was no real desire to add meat. Today, in Africa, there is a growing trend of veganism as a lifestyle. French speaking Africa has adopted the herbes de Provence and made seasoning blends with exotic herbs and spices from the rain forests. These local spices are unknown to the rest of the world. The spice blends have been adapted by this new African vegan movement. African vegan dishes are the new food trend thanks to social media. All of the dishes in this course can be adapted to add meat, fish, chicken, and wild game. Let me tell you a story and let me show you how to make these dishes. This course is mostly a demonstration course with some interactive cooking.
