Become a child care provider by learning how to nurture, teach and care for preschool children either in home, in the homes of the children’s families or in a child care center. Early child care teachers focus on attending to children’s health, safety and nutrition while organizing activities to stimulate each child’s physical, emotional, intellectual and social growth.
Employment of child care professionals is expected to grow 7% through 2024. The increasing focus on early childhood education, together with the rising number of children requiring care, continues to raise the demand for child care professionals.
