In addition to performing the duties of a CNA, patient care technicians responsibilities include EKG reading, verifying patient nutrition, wound care, catheter care, glucose monitoring, IV administration, specimen collection for diagnostic testing, basic laboratory work, pre/post-surgical care, phlebotomy procedures and pediatric patient care.
• Training is designed for active licensed Certified Nursing Assistants, recent graduates of a CNA training program (within the past six months) and those currently enrolled in a CNA training program.
