We know good babysitters are always in demand so Frederick Community College offers a comprehensive, medically-accurate Safe Sitter course to provide you with the skills and confidence to safely and responsibly care for young children.
An engaging, hands-on program, instruction focuses on how to recognize and prevent common injuries, the importance of understanding a child’s age and developmental needs, techniques for managing behavior in a positive and effective way, and life-saving skills, including choking rescue and CPR for infants and children. From discussing personal sitter safety to building your confidence through realistic scenarios, topics and activities delivers the knowledge and experience you need to be a trustworthy caregiver.
