Located on the Iberian Peninsula, Spain is the most widely planted wine producing region in the world with a total of 2.9 million acres. It is the third largest producer, after Italy and France. Spain has an abundance of native grapes with over 400 varietals planted throughout its many diverse wine regions. We will be tasting wines of Northern Spain, predominantly the Rioja and Navarra regions in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the land of Hemingway and the avant garde architecture of Frank Gehry. Come take a tasting tour with us through the modern wine facilities that share the land with centuries-old castles and chapels. This beautiful country has been producing wine for over 5,000 years. Today it is one of the great bargains of the wine world waiting for you to discover.
