Part 2 of this Maryland history course picks up after the end of the French and Indian War and ends with the beginning of the Civil War. We’ll learn about Maryland’s involvement in the revolutionary effort, including the denunciation of the infamous Stamp Act. We’ll also discuss Maryland’s involvement in the War of 1812 as well as the state’s position as a border state in the Civil War. This course will highlight the region that will become Frederick County and is the second in a two-part series.
